Recruitment Manager Training Tips 2 Modelling Success To Bill More…..Modelling Success like Spiderman!

Hi I’m Nicky Coffin and welcome back to another episode of Recruitment Manager Training Tips.

Today I want to talk to you about one of the quickest ways to get your consultants billing more. It’s called modeling success and I’m going to show you how to do this.

What do I mean by modeling success?

If there is someone else out there in this planet that has achieved what you want to achieve, and you go out and do what they do and duplicate their actions and their strategies and their mindset, then you are wither going to get a result that is similar to them or at least an up lift in what you are doing.

Modelling success is a principle that top achievers believe in as well as the fact that success can be duplicated. Because there are no limitations in a person’s ability to learn, it’s just then a matter of learning how to do something and then doing it.

I heard a great story recently that demonstrates how quickly you can get results by modeling others success,
Isobel, one of the recruitment business owners on my recruitment manager training course has 2 young children and they are having an extension built onto their kitchen. With Mum’s back was turned for a couple of moments, the 3 year old climbed into a hole the builders had made and got stuck. He struggled for a few moments and seeing this, his elder sister came over and said to him:

“What would spiderman do?”

He thought for a few seconds and then, like spiderman, clambered easily out of the hole.

Imagine how you could use this principle with your team to get them to model success?

Think about it, If you have 5 recruiters in your team and one of them is performing 3 times better than the rest — how useful could it be to encourage them to find out how they are doing this and then copy it.

Also, if you’ve got a recruitment consultant that is really stuck on a task, simply by asking them then who else they know who is doing this successfully. Then asking, What are they doing and how are they doing it? What do they then need to change now?

So, in case you would like some modeling questions for your consultants to ask to model high performers, here are 9 for you:

1. What are the most important activities that you focus on achieving each day and week?
2. What are the 3 things that you do consistently that make a difference to your results?
3. How to you structure your day / week
4. How do you develop your business?
5. How do you negotiate — specifically?
6. What do you believe about your service?
7. What do you believe about yourself?
8. When you speak to a customer, what’s important to you?
9. What’s your purpose when you are dealing with a customer?

Then simply get them to copy what they do and think!
