Your Candidate is King Challenge: Managing Your Manic Mind

So we know from the last few blogs that our mind is bat shit crazy a lot of the time! And unless we have a strategy to control how it controls us, we will keep repeating the same patterns that will deliver the same results.
And if you are reading this, I suspect they are not the ones you want?
So how do we start to reprogramme ourselves to be the change we want to see in our lives?
Let me share several straightforward strategies that work, and the premise is around controlling and directing our minds.
For instance, you can control what you listen to and what you watch.
So for me, I don’t listen to the news. I don’t read the newspapers when I get up in the morning; I don’t look at my phone or any device at all.
I have my morning ritual that I do before I even think about looking at emails. And the reason I do that is that I want to get myself in the best possible position to become the person I want to be. So I have a routine of getting myself into the highest version of myself before I start my day before I get out there.
A part of that is lying in bed for the first seven minutes, focusing, getting into my body, breathing and talking to my body.
I know this might be different for some of you, and this works on so many different levels.
Because the moment that I take control of that body in those first seven minutes, I call that my victory because it’s like, okay, my body now knows my mind now knows I’m in control.
These techniques are about retraining any of those patterns.
I was talking to the guys from our momentum programme yesterday about this. Sometimes it’s about disrupting your old patterns, your old behaviours that hold you back and repatterning those for ones that do.
Part of my morning ritual is, okay, let’s set these patterns, let’s get my set points which is the highest version of me.
How does she want to show up today?
- What do I believe?
- What do I see?
- What do I hear?
- What do I think, like, who is she and what does she do?
………And I become that person.
The moment you do that, it’s a victory because you’re gaining control.
And this can then be replicated right into what we do in our business. We continue to step into and through our comfort zone, and we move to the other side.
We are all the catalysts for changing our reality. And the moment that you, as the individual, step up and become the person that you want to grow into, that’s when you see your life and results transform because it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy when you own it.
So when you know that everything starts with you, every change, everything you want to see and experience in your life, if you want that to change, then that change has to start with you first. You become the highest version of yourself.
This is the magic button many people miss.
And the thing about this is the brain doesn’t know what is real and what isn’t. You might have heard the term ‘fake it till you make it’. A simple statement that has been proven time and time again to work.
We’re talking about embodying that person who already has everything that you could ever want and thinking, acting, feeling like it; the cool thing about it is it then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it then becomes your reality.
You have to do this consistently. I have seen this work with clients so well over a time frame of just a few months.
….and interestingly, it might only take 30 seconds a day to break a pattern.
